They now have a fantastic opportunity for a Murex Technical support consultant that has a background knowledge of the capital markets to join them in Paris

Project background:

  • As part of the team maintaining this central piece of IT architecture, you will deal with a scope particularly wide and rich in terms of functional coverage, Murex modules implemented and interlocutors you will have to
    interact with.
  • You will be a part of Murex Credit Support team with focus on Front Office and Risk, therefore your main task will be to keep the day-to-day operations of a business running smoothly by ensuring the good functioning of the Murex platform in production, resolving incidents, answering requests / queries from traders and other system users as well as driving the continuous improvement initiatives with aim to improve platform's stability and quality.

Your daily tasks and responsibilities are to:

  • Monitor actively the application
  • Provide assistance to end users for daily activities (Front-Office, Middle-Office and Risk Managers) and ensure continuous communication with them.
  • Resolve incidents (technical issues) in cooperation with other support teams on Murex platform
  • Manage technical problems (analysis, post-mortem, continuous improvement plans)
  • Manage releases (preparation, including Control-M or CFT configuration, test releases in pre production environments, go-live assistance)
  • Manage environments (technical maintenance)
  • Obsolescence management (from identification to solutioning)
  • Technical architecture (work with developers to check technical solutions proposed for production).
  • Ensure efficient communication and cooperation with local support teams in London, NY, HK

Expected experience and knowledge:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a technical support team member in Capital Markets, including on Murex solution.
  • Notions of capital markets products, specifically Bonds, futures, repo, interest rate swap, credit default swap.
  • Notions of trading: PnL, risks, positions management
  • Knowledge of market risks: value at risk, stress tests
  • Notions of post trade: affirmation platform, straight through-processing
  • Good knowledge of Murex tools (GOM, Technical architecture, End-of-day process, workflows / OSP, datamart reports, BSMT, RTBS)
  • Good technical skills on SQL, Unix, Control-M / CFT, Jenkins /Ansible, ITRS / ELK
  • Experience in incident/problem management
  • Good understanding of ITIL, certification is a plus.
  • Experience in DevSecOps and CI-CD
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Analysis skills, high reactivity and results-oriented
  • Fluent in English.
  • Fluent in French is a plus.
