They are looking for several Java Developers to join them working on designing and buliding customer focused solutions. This opportunity is offering remote working to start and then will be 50% remote once the restrictions are lifted.

Job Description:

Our client are one of Austria's most exciting and innovative IT consultancies based in Vienna. They are now looking to expand their already highly talented team of specialists and are looking for several experienced Java developers to work in a highly skilled Agile team in Vienna. This is an exciting long term project.

Your daily tasks will be to:

  • Work in a highly motivated international agile team within the Group Capital Markets tribe
  • Focus on latest technologies to bring our clients IT solutions to the next level
  • Provide the integration and development of professional software for the finance industry
  • Design, build and maintenance of efficient, reusable, and reliable code using state-of-the-art integration technologies
  • Provide the implementation of automated unit tests
  • Ensure that the knowledge is shared and documented
  • Work in close cooperation with Software Architects, Test Engineers and Business Analysts
  • Work closely together with business do deliver value in agile and adoptive environment
  • Take the end to end responsibility for changes throughout delivery pipeline
Ideally you have the following experience:
 
  • More than 5 years professional experience in integration development with Java or C# with integration patterns in microservice architectures
  • Professional experience of relational databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Adequate technical education (Technical School or University degree) 
  • Practical experience with Scrum/Kanban, Software Configuration Management and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (e.g. GIT/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Teamscale)
  • Good knowledge in API definition languages (OpenAPI, Swagger, Yaml)
  • Good experience with containerized architectures (e.g. Docker), management tools (e.g. Kubernetes) and the microservice architecture pattern (e.g. Apache pulsar)
  • You are used to take responsibility for your clean code, think end-to-end and openly share information and your knowledge
  • You are eager to understand the underlying brokerage business
  • Knowledge of FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol and low-latency requirements is a plus
  • Experience in the FinTech space / finance & banking area is a plus
  • Proficient in English (minimum B2-level); German is a plus

Location: Vienna, during Covid remote (afterwards max. 50% remote)
