Our client are a top IT consultancy based in the heart of Vienna, in line with project growth plans they now have a fantastic opportunity for an IBM DataStage developer to join them.

Job Description:

As part of your daily role you will be expected to:

• Develop professional software for the finance industry in an international environment
• Modernize our application frameworks to match today’s security requirements and technology needs
• Write well designed, documented and testable code
• Provide unit testing of the developed software components
• Provide performance optimization and sizing analysis
• Database changes/optimization based on new data structure
• Update existing / write new ETL jobs

You have the following skills and experience:

• Excellent know-how of Datastage and ETL technologies
• Very good Datastage programming skills (5 years professional experience)
• Solid Oracle DB skills
• Knowledge of standard security concepts and implementations
• Good know-how of CI- and source code management- tools (bitbucket, github etc)
• Agile mind-set and practical experience with Scrum/Kanban
• Experience in finance & banking area is a plus
• Design and documentation skills
• Very good command of English (mandatory), German is a plus

Additional information:

• This contract role is based in Vienna, however due to Covid lockdown it will be remote working, then onsite once the situation improves.
