Job Description:

Our client are one of Europe's most respected and well known investment banks based in Germany. They are now looking to expand their team of highly skilled security specialists and have a fantastic project available for a Vulnerability & Compliance Remediation Specialist to join them in the beautiful and modern city of Frankfurt.

Project background:

The team’s function is to ensure vulnerabilities detected from key controls are remediated in a timely manner according to bank policy and standards. The team will work with assessment teams, ITAO’s and operational teams to coordinate, track and support remediation activities and report on status and progress.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where quick ramp-up and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities is critical to success. The ability to work effectively within a team setting is crucial in this instance.

Your daily tasks will be to:

  • Be part of team as a Single Point of Contact (SPoCs) for all CSO IS services, business aligned and provide case management support. The consultant would be responsible for managing 80% of all support cases without involving additional support layers.
  • Be responsible for supporting all CSO services across a portfolio of applications or infrastructure components.
  • You will field new requests from internal customers, VCR colleages and automated reporting using existing knowledge articles as well as other published resources to close them.
  • Be responsible for involving additional support when the case cannot be closed using existing knowledge articles and resources.
  • Build close working relationships with their customers and, under the direction of the VCR Business Engagement Managers, they are responsible for actively engaging their business stakeholders to address vulnerabilities and improve compliance.

You have knowledge of the following technical skills:

  • Information Security controls and/or IT Risk framework knowledge desirable.
  • Good knowledge of Application Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment
  • Basic level of understanding of Intruder techniques, software exploitation methods, understanding of security auditing practice

Non-technical skills:

  • You must be a good communicator, who has a capacity for learning a broad range of subjects and has the situational awareness to adjust communication styles.
  • You must be able to read documented knowledge base articles and adapt them to the customers situation, calling on additional support where needed.
  • You must be organised and diligent.
  • You have good analytical reasoning and problem solving skills

Language skills:

  • Fluent English speaker
